I love breakfast and for that matter, who doesn’t? My weekend ritual of heading out of the house and scouting out a place with tasty bites and good drinks can be very adventurous. Finding a place with a lively environment and outdoor seating is an extra plus, especially with the weather beginning to warm up! A newly discovered brunch favorite: Screen Door located at 2337 E Burnside. Their plates offer a mountain of goodness ranging from mouth-watering biscuits n’ gravy, fried chicken and waffles, scrumptious eggs benedicts, and much, much more! Their biscuits and gravy hit the spot!

Looking for a great breakfast spot?  Besaw’s Cafe proudly serving Portlanders since 1903; check out their local story revealing how this place started. A classic pick and self-discovered favorite weekend ritual of mine. You can expect a line or small wait- but coffee is there while you wait and it’s well worth it!

Weekend brunches featuring some of the best specials and most tasty benedict’s around (Seriously, Eggs Florentine….yum). Also featuring a wild salmon scramble, scratch Belgian waffle, huevos rancheros, house-made conconut and almond granola, and the list goes on with class. From Stumptown coffee, fresh OJ, bloody mary’s and mimosa’s for drinks.

They even offer a Recession Buster Menu with lighter portions that are easy on the wallet. Oh, did I mention the staff is great? Breakfast is served seven days a week: Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM, Saturday/Sunday Brunch 8AM-3PM. Also great for lunch, happy hour, and dinner; eat it up! Located at 2301 NW Savier St (NW 23rd Avenue), 503.223.2619.
