Hey Portland! It’s always a great day when you get a break from the rain- wouldn’t you agree (even if only for a few hours)? Also a good reminder that it’s officially Spring and time to start thinking about new goals. So I challenge you Portlanders- what’s next for you? How will you achieve those goals you’ve been after? What are places you’ve never been? How many times did you get out to the Coast or enjoy the mountain rivers last year?

Now is a great time to think about your next adventures and plan accordingly. Some thoughts? Try going out to the John Day River and enjoy some good old bass fishing. Or how about floating down the Clackamas River with some friends? Some small ideas to get the wheels turning.

Next on the list, go to the Scenic Gorge and spend a night or two in Hood River. It’s easy to sit back and watch the kite boarders go by while sitting down at the Events Site and enjoying a Gorge Burger at the SANDBARcafe. Feeling even more adventurous? How’s about giving it a go yourself? Take lessons and get out on the water by trying out windsurfing or kayaking. Pick fresh pears, apples and berries at the local farms. On the way back- drive Highway 35 and enjoy the lush beauty of Mt Hood’s National Forest.

Get those wheels turning Portland and get ready for Summer Fun! One of the best opportunities to fully discover what Oregon’s about! Dry Desert, Green Forests, Famers Markets, Mountian Rivers, Coastlines and just about every outdoor adventure you could possibly dream up in 2 hour car trip! Cheers!
