The Bluehour Ten Year Anniversary Street Party for MERCY CORPS

Portland Sunday Parkways is back and this Sunday, August 15, Portland’s SE neighborhood is going car-free. The Hawthorne Street Fair will also take place on Sunday, August 15, from 11am-5pm. So join in on the fun!
Sunday Parkways is an annual event that turns our streets into parks, if only for a day. It works like this; large routes of streets get blocked off to cars and opened up to pedestrians, bikers, runners, etc.
Getting cars off the streets is such a unique opportunity in our society that I wouldn’t want to miss this.
Hawthorne’s Annual Street Fair happening Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 11am to 5pm. Hawthorne’s Street Fair is sure to provide fun for the whole family with live music, entertainment, parties, kids activities, and sidewalk sales.
The Street Fair will take place all along Hawthorne, especially between 30th and 43rd Avenues . Sunday Parkways will cross Hawthorne again this year, drawing thousands of people to the Hawthorne Street Fair! Ride the bus, carpool, walk, or bike!
