Breakfast anyone? Try Cup and Saucer specializing in breakfast all-day. One of my favorites- The Lucky Scramble which combines the delicious tastes of bacon, mushroom, green onion and cheddar cheese scrambled with three eggs on top of potatoes. Yum! For hot sauce lovers- they tend to have at least three varieties at every table so there’s no need to worry about things getting too mild. This breakfast spot is a great place for a good meal, interesting art, big windows for people watching, and often-loud company due to close quarters. If scrambles aren’t your angle do not fret there’s plenty of delicious options- omelets of all kinds, western breakfast burrito, pancakes, french toast, homemade granola or oatmeal, and then- there’s still lunch and dinner. Check out one of their locations and go eat!

I love breakfast and for that matter, who doesn’t? My weekend ritual of heading out of the house and scouting out a place with tasty bites and good drinks can be very adventurous. Finding a place with a lively environment and outdoor seating is an extra plus, especially with the weather beginning to warm up! A newly discovered brunch favorite: Screen Door located at 2337 E Burnside. Their plates offer a mountain of goodness ranging from mouth-watering biscuits n’ gravy, fried chicken and waffles, scrumptious eggs benedicts, and much, much more! Their biscuits and gravy hit the spot!

What is this lunch-time Sandwich you might ask? More so, where do you bite onto something like such? Kenny and Zuke’s famous head-size sandwiches, served up fresh and sure to fill you up (and then some). Pictured is their Pastrami and Salami Sandwich and yes, oh my, piled so high let’s see if you can manage! Check out the stunning reviews of other Portlanders claiming it’s fame and while you’re out, give this place a go around to see what you happen to think! Yum….and there’s much, much more where that came from! What’s even better? They are just around the corner from us and you can dine in or take-out.

Looking for a great breakfast spot?  Besaw’s Cafe proudly serving Portlanders since 1903; check out their local story revealing how this place started. A classic pick and self-discovered favorite weekend ritual of mine. You can expect a line or small wait- but coffee is there while you wait and it’s well worth it!

Weekend brunches featuring some of the best specials and most tasty benedict’s around (Seriously, Eggs Florentine….yum). Also featuring a wild salmon scramble, scratch Belgian waffle, huevos rancheros, house-made conconut and almond granola, and the list goes on with class. From Stumptown coffee, fresh OJ, bloody mary’s and mimosa’s for drinks.

They even offer a Recession Buster Menu with lighter portions that are easy on the wallet. Oh, did I mention the staff is great? Breakfast is served seven days a week: Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM, Saturday/Sunday Brunch 8AM-3PM. Also great for lunch, happy hour, and dinner; eat it up!
