Accanto Restaurant serves brunch on the weekend with quite the array of fine dining picks. The Duck Hash was presented with beautiful colors that contrasted with delight and the flavor was lovely. The presentation was equally matched with each dish.

The Dungeness Crab Benedict was delicious and the potatoes were cooked just right- neither being too soft nor too crispy. The Croque Madame simply melts in your mouth. Overall, Brunch was delicious, very reasonably priced and comes highly recommended. Also a bonus, you can make a reservation and avoid waiting in line. My only complaint, the Bloody Mary’s were not special by any means tasting more like tomato juice than anything else. Accanto Restaurant is located at 2838 SE Belmont.

To put it simply! Ciao Vito serves the best pork chop in town. Why does it top the charts? It comes in a thick slab of medium cooked melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Also a favorite at Cia Vito, their spinach polenta bursting with flavor from beginning to end. In terms of the other dishes sampled, the spaghetti on the entree menu was highly disappointing with little sauce and least recommended by myself. Overall, the atmosphere is enjoyable, the staff was friendly and the pork chop well- speaks for it’s self. Ciao Vito is located at 2203 NE Alberta, Portland, OR 97211.

“This winter event held February the 4th and 5th 2011 is a celebration of all things Oregon, but most specifically our wonderful Oregon seafood and wines.  Scheduled in the quiet of winter, and smack dab in the middle of the Dungeness Crab season, it promises to be a popular event in Portland, the gateway to the Oregon coast and the Oregon wine country. The event will be a very upscale yet festive event at the Oregon Convention Center, promising a climate-controlled facility with lots of on-site and surrounding parking”. -Via Portland Seafood and Wine Festival
