For all of those that have other activities scheduled, be sure to plan your travel routes accordingly as traffic will be strongly affected.

Enjoy the sunshine while it’s still here! I hate to even mention the “r” word but yes- it is likely to begin raining early next week. So get outside, put down the remote and do something special. Take a stroll around the Waterfront Esplanade and grab some eats at Saturday Market. How about weekend brunch at Screen Door? Or a good micro beer on the large patio at the Green Dragon? Climb Mount Tabor, go hiking in the Gorge, sit on the banks of the Clackamas River, drive to Mt. Hood or get to the Oregon Coast.

For those living here at Indigo @ twelve|west I say get up to the roof and fire up the grills- get some burgers cooking and bring the potato salad, invite a few friends and enjoy the warmth of the fire pits as the sun sets. Cheers!

The sunshine is out in Portland and the weather is looking good this week. A good reason to get outdoors and soak it up! Get out and support your local community by visiting one of Portland’s Farmers Markets. Earth Day is just around the corner! Which leads me to the question-how do you plan to contribute to a healthier, happier, greener and safer environment? Perhaps you will ride your bike, take Trimet, garden, pick up trash around your neighborhood, fill up a glass of water vs. buying water in a plastic bottle, eat organic, go for a stroll in the sunshine or teach your children about green practices by reading them a story.

Whatever you do, make sure it counts. Every step towards reducing our waste and understanding we are integral part of Mother Earth vs. separate from nature, will help us contribute to a healthier environment. A healthier environment that is conscious and aware of the Earth we share. Global Warming is real. Be part of your community and take pride in helping to improve the quality of the Earth and in turn,  the quality of nature and the quality of our future.
